Instant-win competitions
Winning entry numbers are fixed from a sealed seed when each competition launches. The full table is published when it closes.
How a draw is locked in
- 1
Launch
Verity creates a secret seed and publishes its fingerprint. Instant-win numbers are fixed from it before the first sale.
- 2
Entries lock
The full entry list is fingerprinted a second before the draw, and the draw is tied to a future public drand number nobody can predict.
- 3
The draw
The seed, the entry-list fingerprint and the public number pick the winner, with every entry getting exactly equal odds.
- 4
Published
The seed is revealed. Anyone can check it against the fingerprint and re-run every step to get the same winner.
