Stay in control.
Spend limits, breaks and self-exclusion are built into every account, and free support is always available.
1Keep it fun
Prize draws are entertainment, not a way to make money. Most entries don’t win. Only spend what you can afford to lose, and never chase losses.
You must be 18 or over to enter. We check age and identity, and we void entries from anyone under 18.
Every draw and competition can also be entered free by post, with the same chance of winning.
2Signs it might be a problem
- Spending more than you meant to, or more than you can afford.
- Entering to win back money you’ve spent.
- Borrowing money or missing bills to keep entering.
- Hiding how much you spend from people close to you.
- Feeling anxious, low or irritable about it.
If any of these sound familiar, use the tools below and talk to one of the free support organisations.
3Tools in My account
Monthly spend limit. Choose £0, £25, £50, £100 or £250 a month. Lowering your limit applies straight away; raising it takes 24 hours. With a £0 limit you can still enter free by post.
Take a break. Pause your account for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 6 weeks. You can’t enter anything until the break ends, and we stop marketing.
Self-exclude. Lock your account for 6 months, 1 year, 2 years or 5 years. It can’t be undone early. We stop all marketing for the whole exclusion.
You can also close your account at any time. Our team can’t raise your limit or end a break or self-exclusion for you. Go to My account to set these up.
Many banks let you block gambling payments on your debit card. That block may not cover prize draws, so set a limit here as well.
4Free, confidential support
- GamCare runs the National Gambling Helpline, free 24 hours a day: 0808 8020 133, or live chat at gamcare.org.uk.
- BeGambleAware: advice, self-assessment and treatment options at begambleaware.org.
- GAMSTOP: free self-exclusion from online gambling sites licensed in Great Britain, at gamstop.co.uk. GAMSTOP may not cover prize draw sites like ours, so use our self-exclusion too.
If you’re worried about someone else, these organisations support families and friends as well.
